Syntensity

Syntensity is a world of 3D games that anyone can play in and anyone can help build.
It uses the Cube 2 (sauerbraten) engine, but it adds java-scriptability.
Having such a platform makes making games a lot easier; one doesn't have to worry about engines or coding... just scripting. Creating Games is done more quickly. Already included are things, such as racing, and space ships, and ninja ropes, and black hole guns, and portals etc. etc...

Syntensity is no longer being actively developed. However, members of the community are working hard on a fork called CubeCreate. Check it out!
And CubeCreate got forked:
Recently there has been some major (although not entirely unexpected) changes in the project. quaker66, our lead engine developer, has chosen to create his own project for the engine called “Octaforge”.

That's a lot of tags. How can it be both turn-based and real-time?
That was also my first
That was also my first thought... but this game is not a game in the usual sense. it is a mere game-system with lots of different games that are playable from within Syntensity. To be honest, there is just not a proper category for this kind of project or in other words it stands alone. To list it in the database, with all the tags, can only be a compromise and doesn't really do the project justice.
