SDL Asteroids is a highly enhanced, SDL-based, Open Source implementation of the classic game of Asteroids. It is currently still in the process of development, but is already very playable. Just like the original, you fly around in a ship and shoot at asteroids that break up into smaller pieces. However, unlike in the original, there are such obstacles as planets that have gravitational pull, and turrets that shoot at players in later levels. As many players as can play on a single computer are supported.
