Oil Rush

Release
Version:
1.34
Released:
12 April 2013

In a post-apocalyptic flooded world there are two things running short: oil and time. The last survivors in a desperate desire to seize control and dominate the enemy have started the naval warfare that turned the whole world into one large battlefield. In these harsh and cruel times, oil is thicker than blood.

Oil Rush is a real-time strategy game based on group control. It offers mechanics of a classical RTS combined with a Tower Wars genre: control the upgrade of production platforms as well as their defence forces, and send battle groups of naval and air units to capture enemy platforms and oil rigs.

Oil Rush Tower Defense Map Pack is a DLC that features a completely new tower defense game experience, including a tower defense co-op mode. Exploit new strategies with completely new technology tree, assault and defense units. The Oil Rush is never over!

I was hoping for something better

5

I did buy the game and I really tried to like it, because well it runs on Linux, it wasn't that expensive, and the graphics are great. The only problem is that the gameplay is just not fun and involves little strategy. The node-based RTS is good for a quick flash game, but for a large commercial game it just doesn't work. Many flash games operate on the exact same principle, minus the graphics and some upgrades. I've played many many RTS games and this is just not one that I like. Others may like it tho, probably because of the graphics. I bought it because I wanted a good RTS game ...

Me too

I has hoping for something better too, maybe because I had too high expectations, but I agree with your point of view. In addition, I think the campaign is too way too short. And now that they have released a DLC with 5 additional maps, they are selling it for 5$. That's greed!

Awesome Game, Very Fun And Nice Graphics

This game is excellent, both graphically and in gameplay, although I have a target of powerful video game runs me about 35 FPS comfortable with graphics in the Middle and all effects. The play games is understandable for any player, from the casual to the most advanced HardCore.

As a hardcore gamer the game is recommended for any player on Linux, I recommend to buy original and supporting new companies that provide software to Linux.

Pre-Ordering is very easy and fast, reliable, 100% are seen to be a serious company.

Look like a normal RTS game

Graphics: its good, bit better than SpringRTS

Gameplay: its good to many players, less flexible to Kernel Panic, but the technology system will attract more players. IMO, i never want a technolgy tree.as in Kernel Panic and Zero-K - Technology Tree is useless to implement in a fast RTS game.

Price: its fairly high. RTS game is actually most simple to some terms and reusable.

Advertising: no way the sales so low?!?! F*K OFF normal GAME MEDIA GAMESPOT/IGN/***GAMER
Look at how many copies it sold to date: https://store.unigine.com/products/stats/

Overall: I gave it Good. Although, it can be easily replaced, I guess, with bit of works on SpringRTS.

Uniginre

I have tried unigine before, as a benchmark for GPU drivers.
Try out both beach and sanctuary benchmarks to be left properly impressed.

If the game has a decent playability, with that engine it is going to be a winner

PS: I am BUYING it. let me torrent everything else...
