on 64 bit systems
It requires libOgreMain-1.6.4.so 32 bit to run, I cannot find a way to quickly install it on my Ubuntu 64 bit.
I am gonna try to compile from source

I installed it on OpenSUSE by first using alien -r utility to convert deb to rpm, then it indeed asked for libOgreMain-1.6.4. I found this package in Fedora-13 repository. I just enabled Fedora's repo on my system, so it could install whatever it wanted. And now I have it working perfectly on my OpenSUSE 11.3 x86-64.

no go at compiling.
I can't see anyway to compile the source as it is released, as there aren't any Makefiles or bootstraps or anything
EDIT: I have got it running by downloading the 32 bit libraries and force-arch them
ogre .deb from here:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/maverick/i386/libogremain-1.6.4/download
libOIS-1.2.0.so from here:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/maverick/i386/libois-1.2.0/download
libzzip-0.so.13 from here:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/maverick/i386/libzzip-0-13/download
libfreeimage.so.3 from here:

Symbolic links did not work, so installing all the 32bit versions is the only way to go.
Disables keyboard repeat
Disables keyboard repeat systemwide after exit, very annoying.
To combat this one can change the launching command to
energytycoon && xset r
