It has been 40 years since the devastating war between the Colonials and the Cylons. 40 years where no one has seen or heard of the Cylons. 40 years where the armistice has held.
Shattered Armistice is the name of the first Diaspora release, and was released on 04 September 2012. The release features a two-mission tutorial, a short single-player campaign and a number of multiplayer missions, including both Coop, Team vs Team and Dogfight missions. The single-player campaign stations you on the Battlestar Theseus, a Sobek-class Battlestar, as you struggle to survive.

BSG heaven...
Wow! As a declared FAN of reimagined Battlestar Gallactica, I downloaded the fresh release of Diaspora and am amazed! Perfect Visuals, good gameplay.
Basically, it is Freespace2 SCP in BSG universe. Early release, few content and lots of promisses.
FRED can be used, so any FS2/Babylon5 coder will feel at home.
Running on Linux, boring to compile, but works fine after required -dev libs are installed.
Worth try!
