Balanced Annihilation

Balanced Annihilation

Release
Version:
7.50
Released:
30 May 2011

Balanced Annihilation (BA) is currently the most popular game played using the Spring engine. BA is a mature mod and new versions feature only minor balance tweaks.

BA gameplay develops in stages of progressively heavier units with a growing economy. Many strategies are viable in BA, including focusing on map control, aggression, defense, air power, sea power, or mobility.

BA's lineage traces back to fan mods of the original Total Annihilation. It feels similar, and play is more balanced for diverse multiplayer strategies.

Yes is Hardcore

Maybe less hardcore StarCraft game, you're learning to play a real RTS is recommended as some Spring Mod Balanced Annihilation or Zero-K. Although Supreme Commander that sige also the same gameplay.

Balanced Annihilation is very similar and almost equal to Total Annihilation, a very old play games, but very good.

Hardcore

Understand that this for the most part is a hardcore RTS. You need to be very quick and make complex decisions understanding every aspect of the situation and your capabilities while predicting the enemy's actions. This is like games such as starcraft. Don't play it expecting it to be casual at all.

Note: Recent proliferation of '8v8DSD' games are much slower paced and more forgiving, but they are also not all that entertaining
