In short, it is a historically-based war/economy game that allows players to relive or rewrite the history of Western civilizations, focusing on the years between 500 B.C. and 500 A.D. The project is highly ambitious, involving state-of-the-art 3D graphics, detailed artwork, sound, and a flexible and powerful custom-built game engine.

Definitely a promising game, but in alpha
It certainly looks good, and it looks like it can become something like Age of Empires or similar RTS. However, it is still in alpha and things aren't too playable or ironed out.
Still I rate it highly because it is good even in this state and it can be so much better when they finish or get to beta.
Is it truth?

It will work but don't expect
It will work but don't expect too much because it's still in alpha stage
Alpha!
This game is still in Alpha but it shows the potential to be a great game. http://www.ohloh.net/p/game_0ad shows that commits and contributors are increasing quickly which bodes well.

Their biggest problem is the missing multithreading support...

Great game.
Technically and artistically more than achieved.
Graphically impeccable.
Ancient Era recalls that in its infancy civilizations competing for wilderness hunting and full of resources away from the Space Age and the struggles of the last century with alien onslaught.
When the universe was reduced to the Mediterranean or even a small portion of it.
Its concept aims ways, even though some people think it is a concept already used ad nauseam, that needs to be renewed in their spirit of play, rather than technically.
For example, instead of the typical total domination and twenty centuries, is take a new world view with the times, is to establish balance and business alliances to harness the power of each civilization in a synergistic manner to achieve a balanced development alone.
This may be possible to culture, science and technology, without forgetting the most important.
The human being, meaningful arts, philosophy and humanities timeless and universal. Speaking of Universal, at this point, of course, universities can play an important role, although not exclusive.
Rather, it would not dominate, but to live in peace and harmony.
The win-win system to the traditional win-lost.
A true spirit of team play where there is no per se but against allies sharing efforts and responsibilities.
A rational society, just, free, united and mature face a struggle of egos.
Can a society without struggles for power and resources where a supranational body is really ethical and democratic?
Course, is an exciting challenge and study simulated object at least.
Nice graphics
It has nice graphics, but its still a stupid game. You can destroy buildings with swordmen? In 2012? It's.. weird.
I really hate the 5 resources
I really hate the 5 resources style of strategy like this and glest. Spend half the game managing them. The only thing this age of empires clone has on the spring engine is graphics.
Veeeryyyyy sloooow....
Why this game has so fat system requirements? For example Warzon2100 runs fast even with maximum texture resolution...
because warzone is a
because warzone is a twelve-year-old game?
