Home page renders incorrectly in chrome

In google chrome (Chromium 5.0.372.0 (44042) Ubuntu), the Home page does not render correctly.
(only the home page, the rest of the site works fine)

problem confirmd, gonna investigate later today. I think it has something to do with incorrect html-comments in the template.
