The link is wrong. Runesoft makes the mac and pegasus versions.

LGP makes the linux one. (22 pounds for a 2001-2002 game. I am speechless)

understood.

note to self: make alternative search method more obvious and convenient and get rid of display limit.

Yes, I meant misused by LGP.

I don't want to rant to long, but porting to linux has these hard spots.

Like the typical "exit to windows" of runesoft ports.

nonetheless the ports are good, they just always miss those details to make it "great".

since I moved to Linux I have bought very few games, all indie ones:

Humble Indie Bundle

On the rain slick precipice of darkness

Caster

Machinarium

IMO, the poll isn't very useful (according to results), because people (who hadn't read this and previous posts; I bet this is a majority) mostly don't realize that 'search' can be used the same way as 'all games' where you start with nothing and then apply some query criteria (action, comic, 2d...) to narrow the search. This should be because 'true' search link (http://www.lgdb.org/search/luceneapi_node/) is at the bottom of page, and the 'search' mostly associates with that 'search' on the left, which is 'search by keyword'.

By the way, what I don't like with the 'search' is that it only allows to view first 10 query results, while 'all games' allows to view multiple pages (and view all search results). That's not problem for me [after the time spent here I know almost every single game in the database, so I don't really need the search at all ;) ], but this may be really inconvenient for other people.

How what is done, in specific? Posting to twitter? If you look at the top right corner, you'll see links like account, personal, and connect. Hit the connect link, and you should see a tab called twitter beneath the message box. Enter details there and it should work :)

Making a group: Go to: http://identi.ca/groups and hit make a new group, easy as that :) Post to the group by typiung a ! before the groupname, like !lgdb

Hope this helps

i was confused by the word "here" in this part:

I mean, Linux Games Publishing is a flagship name, that is being grossly misused here.

but after some meditation i think here doesn't refers to LGDB but rather to LGP itself.

Ah, there I see it, but it's not very obvious ;)

It's not the games that have fault, they're all very cool, and even the porting is decent. It's just the fact that the company is not presentable at all, and makes linux gaming look unprofessional in association. I don't think the games should be unlisted, maybe I was taken up wrongly there.

yeah, that makes sense. Would be cool if you can tell me how its done, quick search didn't yield any satisfying results (i don't want to install anything)
