Game: OpenTTD

The first time I tried to play I couldn't quite understand how to get started but after reading a quick tutorial I started and didn't want to stop. This game deserves more attention. I don't often play simulator games but this one kept me playing for hours for some reason. I suggest if you haven't played it before, give it a try.

Game: Minecraft

I can't stop playing this fun sandbox game.
So many ideas of things to create, so little time.
The game is still in Alpha but has a promising future. Frequent updates every few weeks.

I hope when the game reaches Beta that the code gets optimized to allow people with slightly older machines to play with greater render distances to be able to see the sun and moon from my crappy Intel integrated video card on my laptop.

Hopefully in the future other game modes come and many more features and bug fixes for multiplayer.

You have to buy it to get access to the full feature set. Supporting devs = allows them to put more time into making worthwhile games.

Requires Sun JDK to run. Won't work with IcedTea/OpenJDK.

i registered an account at boomz.me for lgdb, lets see how this service is progressing...

I know I'm being a pest, but GameBoom, which is another Open Source centric game site, has started its own Statusnet (software that runs Identica) instance centered around gaming: http://boomz.me/

Opengameart has recently integrated it, and I think it would be rather cool if LGDB does it as well, because it is even more your target audience than Identica (and everyone from Identica can still follow you, due to the way statusnet works)

So yeah, just my 2 cents, I think working together can only bring greater things and having a service like this shows that Linux/Open source gamers exist and have a voice

The "game" was just playing with legos. All interaction there was, was adding and removing stones. Weak and not even free.

it was on identi.ca but i deleted it because the url was wrong (because of the changed title)

What about deleting - I bet you can't, but there's really no reason to do it.

By the way, pheonton, looks like it wasn't added to twitter/identica for some reason.
