Regnum Online está creciendo también en Twitter. Esta red social se ha convertido en un excelente modo para interactuar entre NGD y la comunidad de Regnum. En este mini reportaje entrevistamos a The Dark Legion y Dragones Oscuros (dos de los clanes de Regnum con mayor actividad en Twitter), quienes comparten con nosotros algunos pensamientos sobre este nuevo fenómeno.

1) ¿De qué maneras el clan utiliza Twitter?

DO: Lo utilizamos principalmente para informar a los miembros de nuestro clan acerca de los próximos eventos y actividades que organizamos. También nos ayuda mucho para estar en contacto con otros miembros de la comunidad de Regnum.

TDL: The Dark Legion utiliza Twitter para organizar reuniones entre los miembros del clan y comentarles cuales son nuestros próximos proyectos. Esto ha sido muy útil para convocar a todos los integrantes del clan.

2) ¿Utilizan Twitter para organizar invasiones o excursiones de cacería?

DO: Twitter es una gran herramienta para reclutar aliados en determinadas situaciones. Gracias a la inmediatez que recibimos vía tweet, cada vez que estamos en una batalla y necesitamos ayuda llamamos refuerzos por Twitter y acuden rápidamente en nuestra ayuda.

TDL: Si, lo hacemos, y mucho. Además, Twitter nos ayuda por ejemplo cuando planeamos enfrentar a un superboss dentro de la Zona de Guerra o a Tenax, dentro del reino. ¡Muchos de los miembros de nuestro clan se suman a la batalla contra estas criaturas con sólo twittear!

3) ¿De qué formas puede Twitter mejorar la comunicación en Regnum?

DO: Hoy en día, Twitter se ha convertido en uno de los canales informativos más rápidos de Internet. Creemos que NGD lo está aprovechando bien, informando a la comunidad acerca de las últimas novedades de Regnum. Nos gustaría que sigan haciendo cosas como esta, ya que de esta manera ayudará a que el juego crezca en popularidad y reciba más feedback de la comunidad.

TDL: Nuestro clan ha tweeteado a @RegnumOnline varias veces y ha recibido respuestas muy interesantes. Eso es lo que llamamos feedback positivo. Nos gustaría que NGD siga haciendo esto, informándonos a todos vía Twitter, y respondiendo todas nuestras preguntas. De esta manera podremos enterarnos de muchísimas cosas referidas a Regnum de manera rápida y dinámica.

4) ¿Qué es lo que te gustaría ver en los próximos tweets de @RegnumOnline?

DO: Todas las últimas promociones de contenido Premium fueron muy buenas. Por eso nos gustaría que hicieran nuevas cosas de este tipo. También querríamos que @RegnumOnline se convierta en un lugar cada vez más importante donde se reciban y respondan todas las preguntas, sugerencias y opiniones de la comunidad.

DL: Nos encantaría que sigan haciendo promociones de ítems Premium vía Twitter. La última vez que lo hicieron fue muy divertida. También sería genial si pudieran informarnos vía tweets acerca de todas las guerras e invasiones que se están llevando a cabo en el juego.

Regnum Online is growing stronger also on Twitter! In this social network, many of the community users have found new ways to interact with each other and NGD Studios team. In this mini-interview, two of Regnum’s most active clans on Twitter -The Dark Legion and Dragones Oscuros- share some thoughts with us about this new phenomenon.

1) In which ways does the clan use Twitter?

DO: We use Twitter mainly as a way to inform our clan members about our upcoming events and activities. It also helps a lot to be more in touch with the growing Regnum community.

TDL: The Dark Legion uses Twitter to plan in-game strategies, for example to do Clan Meetings, to call on our twitter members and tell them what we are planning to do. This has been enormously helpful.

2) Do you use Twitter to create combat strategies, for example to set an invasion or a hunting excursion?

DO: Twitter is a great tool to find allies in specific situations. Thanks to the immediate response we get of a tweet, every time we ask for help, we get almost instantly a lot of reinforcements to aid us in battle.

TDL: Yes, we do, a lot. Also, Twitter has proven to be very helpful every time we plan a boss kill inside the warzone, like superbosses or even Tenax behind the realm walls. A lot of our members join the battle as soon as we tweet them!

3) In which ways can Twitter improve the communication in the Regnum Community?

DO: Nowadays, Twitter has become one of the fastest channels of information in the Internet. NGD has started to inform the community about the upcoming game features. We are really happy about this, because it helps Regnum grow in popularity and get more direct feedback from the game community.

TDL: Our clan Twitter account has actually tweeted @RegnumOnline and has gotten several replies back from them, that is what we call positive feedback and trying to stay in touch with the community as much as possible and that is really appreciated. NGD should definitely continue on this path. By doing this, we can get to know the latest news about Regnum in a very fast and dynamic way.

4) What would you like to see in the upcoming tweets of @RegnumOnline?

DO: The latest giveaway promos were great. We want more of that in the future. But what we also would like is that @RegnumOnline becomes a more important place to receive and reply all questions, suggestions and opinions from the community.

TDL: We would love if you guys at NGD Studios did more Premium items giveaway both on Facebook and Twitter. The last time you did it was really fun. It will also be great if the war status can be provided as tweets as well.

Q: Have you changed your playing style since you became a Warmaster?

A: Yes, mostly by using the new WM skills. The offensive and defensive beacons –for example- have become essential to put up with the enemy armies that outnumber us (Alsius).  I’m also much popular now. In most of the battles –for example- I’m the first who get hit by the enemies (laughs).

Q: How’s it like to be one of the first Regnum Online Warmasters?

A: I’m feeling much more attracted to the game than before. I think that all combats are going to be way more interesting than ever. I also try to help any user I can performing all new attacks included in the WM skill tree. There’s also a lot of curious players who are eager to know what the WM is capable of in the battlefield.

Q: Do you think that the introduction of the Warmasters will improve the RvR aspect of Regnum Online?

A: Yes, because the invasion rules require the WM to establish more precise strategy attacks for the three realms. I’m also pretty sure that the new WM skills will improve the combat in the game. Everything will be more dynamic.

This is just the beginning. We’re sure that there’re going to be more Warmasters  shortly. Get ready. Regnum Online is going to become more exciting than ever! Stay tuned!

Welcome to Regnum World Tour, a new blog section in which we talk about different areas of the game map. For this first entry, let’s take a field trip to Igni’s Volcanic Zone, recently re-designed.

The revamp brought re-modeled trees made from scratch, showing a lot of more detail and color than the previous version. Some fire and smoke effects were added too.
NGD artists also worked on a new set of stones, with peak shapes, to give them a scarier look.

The lava river -the main part of the area-  was also improved. The goal was to give the zone a better sense of movement and that’s why the bridge was removed and replaced with lava lakes that showed persistent fire and lava splashing effects. The final touch of the process includes the redesign of the area’s spring and fall to make them look more like reference points in the zone.

Igni’s Volcanic Zone looks better than ever. Check out some screenshots by our map craftier, NGD’s senior artist Eugenio Insausti.

The world of Regnum has a lot of stories yet to be told. Stick around for more of this amazing World Tour!

The Easter celebrations are coming to Regnum. From April 14th to 25th, get ready for two weeks of intense egg hunting to get amazing thematic items.

Some “Big Easter Eggs” will randomly appear all over the entire Regnum world during the Easter season. All users that interact with these unique objects will have the chance to obtain premium items and a seasonal themed hat.

In addition to these surprise appearances, this event will include two special quests. The first will embark  all the players on a hunt for regular size Easter eggs, which just like the big ones will appear randomly in the game world. The second quest will require seeking and eliminating Easter themed creatures. Your effort for completing this event’s quests will be rewarded with special Easter prizes.

To participate in the quests, players will need to find an Easter statue, located on the Capital cities of Alsius, Syrtis and Ignis.

Prepare to have tons of fun with this event! Stay tuned for more exciting news about the game!

Welcome to the first edition of Regnum Online Bestiary, a new blog section in which we make a whole overview to the game’s creatures. For this first post, we analyze one of the first creatures that populate the world of Regnum: the Goblins.

Goblins are a standard creature of the medieval / fantastic genre, so Regnum needed their own version of them. The main idea of the concept for the goblin was to make him look the way it’s normally known, a very limited short size, disproportionate big head and pointy ears.

Quoting words from one of the “fathers” of the Regnum goblins, NGD senior artist, Nicolas Campelo, “This kind of creature is one of the better to work with, because it’s easy to imagine everything that surrounds them, how they organize their tribes and how is related with other creatures”.

Regardless of the Regnum technical limitations in the game’s early years, the NGD art team managed to develop a model for the goblin that contemplates the existence of different types for the same creature, varying elements like size, weapons or clothing. The latest redesign of the goblins, allowed the artists to go even further on that first objective. Nowadays, the variety of this creature in the world of Regnum it’s pretty big, showing more than 10 them.

For example, as the images posted below show it, in the game you can find  Goblins that defend themselves with a sword and a shield or others capable of using magic powers.

A new and powerful mount is marching elegantly into the Regnum world. It’s not an ordinary one, it’s a Warmaster’s horse!

Now, the most powerful beings in the game can march throughout the game map in a mount that reassembles their enormous power and unique war skills. And, as you can expect, obtaining this mounts will not be an easy task to make. The Warmaster’s horse will only be available through Warmaster Coins.

To talk about the develop process of the new mount; we salute once again Nicolas Campelo, one of NGD’s senior artists.

Q: What was the main idea behind the develop process of the horse?

A: The Warmaster’s horse was thought to be in the same line with the armor set of these characters. The main goal was to relate this mount with a more experienced warrior, a horse that can be distinct from the others in the Regnum world.

Q: Can you give the community some hint of what to expect in terms of new content?

A: Well, let’s just say that the inclusion of new elements in this mount, such as armor or fabric pieces, gives us a lot of new develop possibilities for the future.

The Warmaster inspires his allies, whom earn movement speed until their first attack. This creates a great opportunity for the Warmaster and his war companions to make faster attacks or to quickly escape from enemies assaults.
