Stendhal 0.86: The Wizards Circle [Update No. 3]
Here is a new release of Stendhal for you to enjoy. Please check the announcement.
Update: We fixed the problem which caused some webstart-clients ("Play now") to crash after the update to 0.86. You will notice on first start that it will ask you again to download some additional files.
Those will replace the base client instead of just updating it so the download is a bit larger. Unfortunately there is no other way for us to fix it. The problem was caused because the Webstart files for the 0.85 base client were not signed completely. Java prevents mixing signed and unsigned files in certain conditions so that it is not possible to base any update on that version.
Important: There was a bug in the last release which prevents it from working after the update:
"Something nasty happened while trying to start your self build client: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: games.stendhal.client.stendhal.If you get this error, please go to your home folder (/home/username, C:\Documents and Settings\username). There you will find a stendhal folder. Please delete the subfolder "jar"
We are sorry for this bug and are working on a better solution.

Did you know that our engine Marauroa was originally developed as base for a multiplayer online Pacman game?
About 5 years a feature was added to Marauroa supporting the management of multiple zone (game boards) at the same time.
In order to ensure the quality of new features, test cases are needed. The test case for the multi zone feature was called Stendhal.
